JCB Indias 6th factory foundation construction ceremony

On March 25th, Lord Bamford, Chairman of JCB Group, participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the 6th factory in JCB India, marking the 6th factory of JCB Group investing 65 million pounds in India. In addition, the recent significant investment of the JCB Group, including the £50 million cab plant in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, UK, is also under construction.

Lord Bamford, Chairman of JCB Group, said: "In the near future, JCB Group's large investment in manufacturing capacity in the UK and India will enable us to be in a very favorable position to develop our business in the future. In 2019, JCB will celebrate the establishment of JCB India. The 40th anniversary. The successful experience of the Indian market in the past 40 years shows that JCB's continued investment in the Indian market is the key to JCB's absolute market leader in the Indian market. JCB Group continues to invest in the construction of a sixth factory to commemorate JCB India. It is very meaningful to have a 40th anniversary, which will bring more production capacity."

Since 2007, India has become the largest overseas monomer market for the JCB Group. As of now, JCB has five factories in India, located in Ballabgarh, Pune, Jaipur, with more than 6,000 employees. The new facility is located in Gujarat State in western India, near the port of Surat and covers an area of 440,000 square feet (about 62 acres). The new plant is expected to be operational by 2020, supplying structural components to the global product line to meet the rapid growth of global business. The new plant is equipped with a large number of cash manufacturing equipment, such as laser cutting machines, welding and machining lines. The new plant will use a forkless truck to transport 85,000 tons of steel per year.
